Search for UNR’s next president down to six finalists

The University of Nevada, Reno is down to six finalists in its presidential search.

The school will bring them to campus for open forums April 13, 16 and 17.

Finalists include Steven Roger Angle, provost of Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and Rachel Toni Algaze Croson, who is on leave from a professor post at the University of Texas at Dallas.

Yash Gupta is president of a Canadian-based high tech company and former business school dean at Johns Hopkins University. Marc Johnson has been UNR's interim president for the past year.

The other two finalists are Oregon State University Provost Sabah Randhawa and Desert Research Institute President Stephen Wells.

A search launched after UNR President Milton Glick died last April at age 73.
