See you in the (iPad) funny pages
It's a safe bet that one of the many things people will do with their iPads is read books. This includes comic books. They're already doing it on iPhones and iPod Touches. The iPad’s large, vibrant, full-color screen will move the comic book and graphic novel experience to new levels.
Digital comic book distributor and software provider iVerse Media unveiled today the iPad version of iVerse Comics. The iVerse folks call the iPad Apple's new "magical" devices and they just might be right.
I searched for "iverse" in Apple's App Store and found many titles. The iVerse Comics app is available today as a free download. With it you can read comics from several publishers, including Marvel Comics, IDW Publishing, Archie Comics, BOOM! Studios and several independent publishers. At any given time, 30 titles are available for free and 100 are available for purchase. New comics are available every week and any items purchased within the iPhone application will also be available to customers on their iPads.
I'm guessing we'll all be reading and seeing more in the weeks and months ahead about ways to use the iPad.

NOTE — Apple announced today their stores will be open at 9 a.m. for customers picking up their iPads. I won't be in line, but I plan to visit my nearest Apple Store sometime Saturday to see for myself how the frenzy plays out.
