An agreement has been reached to partially erase the debt of former students of Silver State Helicopters, the Nevada attorney general's office announced today.
Under the agreement with 12 states, including Nevada, Student Loan Express will forgive a total of $112.7 million in debt for students who obtained private education loans to attend the flight school that later declared bankruptcy.
The attorney general’s office served on the executive committee that helped negotiate the agreement.
