Shooting complex offers lessons
Southern Nevadans can learn to shoot in a supervised, safe environment at the Clark County Shooting Complex, 11357 N. Decatur Blvd. Its Learn to Shoot Archery program offers free instruction and the opportunity to learn things such as draw length, components of a bow, eye dominance, how to shoot a bow properly and archery range safety.
There is no charge for instruction and customers can bring their own equipment or rent from the complex. The charges are $10 per hour or $20 for the day for one bow and eight arrows. Additional charges include a line fee of $7 for those 18 years and older; there is no line fee charge for children under 18 years.
The Clark County Shooting Complex also is a great place to learn to shoot trap and skeet. There is no charge for instruction, and clients can bring their own shotguns and shells or rent equipment from the complex. There are 12- and 20-gauge shotguns for rent. Cost is $10 per hour or $20 for the day with shotgun rental and $8 per box of ammunition. Additional charges include $4 for 25 clay targets for children under 18 years and $46 for 25 clay targets for anyone 18 years or older. Eye and ear protection is required .
