Shooting kills one person, wounds two

One person was killed and two others were wounded in a shooting in northeast Las Vegas Thursday afternoon.

Las Vegas police detained one person and were searching for a suspect in the shooting, which occurred in the 4500 block of Lake Mead Boulevard, near Lamb Boulevard.

The shooting appeared gang-related, they said.

Police said they didn't know a motive and declined to provide identities of the victims or the person detained.

Police responded to scene after receiving multiple calls reporting shots being fired about 4:30 p.m.
