Shooting victim identified; suspect sought

A man who died Saturday at MountainView Hospital after being shot in the chest has been identified as 32-year-old Jessie Cummings of Las Vegas.

Cummings was found by several people at a 7-Eleven store near Lake Mead and Jones boulevards, Las Vegas police said. They took him to MountainView. Officers who were called to the hospital at 6:11 p.m. contacted homicide detectives.

Police had no suspect or vehicle descriptions as of Monday afternoon.
