Silva gets past Griffin

Anderson Silva stopped Forrest Griffin just 3:23 into the co-main event of UFC 101 at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia.

Silva toyed with the former Ultimate Fighting Championship light heavyweight champion, ducking and dodging his punches before dropping Griffin as Silva backpedaled.

Griffin had already been hurt in the fight and he held up his hand to indicate to Silva and the referee that he wanted no more punishment.

Grfffin immediately stood up and sprinted to the locker room. The main event fight between lightweight champion BJ Penn and Kenny Florian should begin soon.
