Single-vehicle crash kills woman
A 29-year-old Las Vegas woman was killed Saturday when her 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage slammed into a palm tree on Azure Road, near U.S. Highway 95 in the northwest valley, authorities said.
The single-vehicle crash happened just after 4 a.m., Las Vegas police said.
The vehicle was heading east on Azure and failed to negotiate a curve, police said. The car left the roadway and hit the tree. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.
