Soccer league seeks lot for game attendees

RENO -- A youth soccer league is asking Reno officials to pave a dirt parking lot so parents won't get ticketed for parking on the street.

The Reno Gazette-Journal reported city rules prohibit parking on unimproved lots. The only lot near the school where the Great Basin Youth Soccer League plays is a city-owned dirt lot.

Last year, people were parked on city streets. They received parking tickets and neighbors complained about congestion in residential areas.
