ST. PIERRE PUMMELING PENN

ROUND 3: Penn is bleeding from the nose; it could be broken.

St. Pierre takes him down at 4:00 and has a side mount. Looks like continuation of second round.

St. Pierre in full mount at 2:45 with ground-and-pound. Penn can’t do anything except get in a few weak punches.

Penn gets up. St. Pierre has him in a front headlock, and with 1:35 left they’re standing along the fence. Blood still coming from Penn’s nose.

St. Pierre backs him up and drops him on his back. St. Pierre back on top and connects with big elbows to the right side of Penn’s head.

Penn getting hurt frequently and is showing it.

Penn, however, survives again but staggers to his corner.
