Suspect arrested in string of robberies

North Las Vegas police this week arrested a man suspected of being the "scarf-face robber," who might be connected to at least 17 robberies throughout the valley.

North Las Vegas police said they arrested the man Sunday on suspicion of three robberies. Police, however, did not reveal the suspect's identity.

The "scarf-face robber" earned the moniker because he used a scarf to hide his face during armed robberies.

The suspect was wanted in connection with at least 14 robberies in Las Vegas since Dec. 19. He targeted businesses such as Green Valley Grocery, Circle K and Metro PCS.

North Las Vegas police said the suspect's identity will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
