A man wanted in the Thursday night attack that left a woman dead and her son and daughter in critical condition has been arrested.
Police took Victor Cruz, 29, into custody without incident at Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street.
Cruz had attacked the three with a machete or large knife about 8:45 p.m. at an apartment complex near Bonanza Road and Eastern Avenue, police said.
