Suspect in fatal moped crash taken into custody in Texas

Police arrested a man in Texas suspected in a hit-and-run crash that killed a moped rider in Reno.

Reno police said the U.S. Marshal's office in Irving, Texas, arrested Candido Aniceto-Trejo on Wednesday.

Aniceto-Trejo is a suspect in the July 7 crash that killed 44-year-old Eric Thomas on North McCarran Boulevard near Northtowne Lane.

KOLO-TV reported that the SUV thought to be involved in accident was found in Texas.

Police said Thomas was riding in a bike lane when the accident happened. Police said Thomas and his moped remained attached to the SUV for several hundred feet before separating.
