Las Vegas police are searching for a man in connection with an attempted abduction of a 13-year-old girl who was walking to school on Friday.
Lt. John Bradshaw said Wednesday that the attempt happened in the morning as the girl was walking to Mack Middle School.
The girl was walking near the intersection of Vegas Valley Drive and Mountain Vista Street, when a Hispanic man driving a black sport utility vehicle made disparaging remarks to her and tried to lure her into his vehicle, Bradshaw said.
The girl told school authorities about the event. She did not know the suspect.
Anyone who knows the man in the sketch or who has knowledge of the incident is urged to call Las Vegas police's Sexual Assault Section at 828-3421 or Crime Stoppers at 385-5555.
