Suspect sought in shooting that killed one man, wounded another

North Las Vegas police Thursday were seeking a 31-year-old man in connection with a double shooting last month that left one man dead and another man wounded.

Detectives have a warrant for murder with a deadly weapon and attempted murder with a deadly weapon for the arrest of Walter Kaneeki Clark of North Las Vegas.

Clark is suspected in a Jan. 22 shooting that left 31-year-old Quincy Lavelle Hill dead. The man who was injured has not been identified.

The shooting occurred just after 10 p.m. in the 2600 block of Ward Street, near Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Police said Clark was among a small group of people at a backyard gathering when a fight broke out and gunfire ensued.

Hill died at University Medical Center. He was shot in the head and the pelvis.

On Jan 24, police arrested 20-year-old Terhain Woods on charges of murder with a deadly weapon and attempted murder with a deadly weapon.

Police said Thursday that Clark is 6 feet tall, has black hair, brown eyes and weighs about 165 pounds. He may be driving a Chrysler 300 with Nevada license plate LT36638.
