Three judges named to hear election-related issues that may come up

Three District Court Judges have been named to hear election-related legal issues that may come up on Election Day, Nov. 4.

This is the first time the District Court will have judges on stand-by to resolve election disputes the day of the election.

The judges are Valerie Adair, David Barker and Douglas Herndon.

"When an issue related to the election comes up, we want to be able to address it quickly and provide interested parties with timely access to the judicial system," Chief Judge Kathy Hardcastle said in a statement.
