Toddler who died after being run over identified

A toddler who died after being run over by truck Friday was identified Monday.

Nineteen-month-old Jace Ridout was standing by the passenger side of a 2004 Nissan Titan on West Piccadily Drive, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Los Feliz Street, when the 23-year-old driver pulled away from the curb, Las Vegas police said. The right rear wheel of the vehicle rolled over the boy.

Alcohol did not appear to be a factor, police said. The boy died at University Medical Center.
