Toddlers hospitalized after falling into pool
Two toddlers were taken to a hospital after falling into a backyard pool near Rancho Drive and U.S. Highway 95 on Friday.
The children, who are 1 and 2 years old, fell into a pool on West Mesquite Avenue about 2 p.m., Las Vegas police Lt. Ted Snodgrass said.
They were in the pool for an estimated three to five minutes, Snodgrass said. The younger child was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The older child was also hospitalized but is expected to recover, he said.
The circumstances surrounding how they fell into the pool remains under investigation.
Snodgrass said there was a party at the house involving 15 to 20 people, about half of whom were children.
