Two die, eight injured in LV car accident

Two people were killed and eight others were injured during a three-vehicle accident Friday evening.

Las Vegas police said the accident happened on Spring Mountain Road at Erva Street, near Fort Apache Road, about 6:15 p.m.

One person, who was in a vehicle that hit a wall, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second person was airlifted to a hospital, where the person was pronounced dead.

Police were still trying to determine the cause of the crash late Friday. The names and ages of those involved were not released.
