Two indicted in ‘club drugs’ case

Two Las Vegas men were indicted Wednesday after authorities accused them of conspiring to distribute "club drugs" and other illegal drugs.

A federal grand jury indicted Scott Vasatis, 34, and John Pergola, 31, who were arrested Dec. 16 in Las Vegas.

The men are accused of conspiring to distribute about 4,800 tablets of Ecstasy, a popular drug at nightclubs, and 912 grams of GHB, also known as the "date rape drug." In addition, the defendants are accused of conspiring to distribute marijuana, cocaine and the painkiller hydrocodone.

Vasatis and Pergola, who have been detained, are scheduled to appear for an arraignment on Jan. 8 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Lawrence Leavitt.
