Two public defenders arrested

Authorities arrested two deputy Clark County public defenders in Henderson last weekend.

The Nevada Highway Patrol arrested Kathleen Hamers on Sunday and booked her into the Henderson jail on charges of driving under the influence, authorities said.

She was pulled over for probable cause and failed field sobriety tests, authorities said.

Troopers also arrested Casey Landis, who was a passenger in the vehicle, and charged him with obstruction, authorities said.
