Two teens on sidewalk hit by car

North Las Vegas police say two teenagers walking on a sidewalk were struck when a car drove off a roadway.

Police say the 16-year-old girl and 18-year-old boy, who were hit about 4 p.m. Tuesday, were taken to University Medical Center in serious to critical condition.

Authorities say a 19-year-old man was behind the wheel of a Honda coupe when he apparently lost control along Gliding Eagle Road.
