U.S. Border Patrol Yuma Sector secures the border

In the last several years, the Yuma Sector’s border with Mexico has transformed from one of the busiest, most dangerous hotspots for illegal crossings to practically sleepy. Today, the Yuma Sector, which includes 126 miles of U.S.-Mexico border, is considered to be under “operational control” and a model for other sectors that line that border. A recent media tour showed new and better layers of border fence, more Border Patrol agents, more surveillance cameras and no illegal border crossing activity.
