UFC: Spinning back kick helps Jones TKO Matyushenko

SAN DIEGO--Jon Jones continued his meteoric rise in the Ultimate Fighting Championship with a first-round TKO of Vladimir Matyushenko on Sunday night.

Jones took just 1:52 to earn the victory in the main event of the UFC on Versus card at the San Diego Sports Arena.

After landing a spinning back kick, Jones tripped Matyushenko to the mat and landed in top position.

He then secured a crucifix and pounded Matyushenko until the referee called a stop to the fight.

Also, Yushin Okami won a split decision over Mark Munoz and Takanori Gomi knocked out Las Vegan Tyson Griffin just a minute into the bout.
