Update your iPhone NOW!

It took about 15 minutes to download and install the upgrade to the 3.0 operating system on my iPhone this morning. It was the best time investment I've made in a long while.
My two favorite new features are the search function and the landscape mode for typing messages and e-mails. The search, which appears with a right-sweep of the home screen, is amazing. Begin typing a word and contacts, files or programs containing the particular text string appear in a menu. Selecting exactly what you're looking for couldn't be easier.
The landscape, or horizontal, typing mode extends the size of the virtual keyboard. In limited testing I made far fewer typos than in the vertical mode. I've had my iPhone for a couple of months and am still adjusting to this virtual typepad. I am learning to trust the auto-fill spelling feature and am impressed by the device's ability to predictive type, actually learning the words I type most often.
I'm not particularly happy that the new iPhone 3G S will be coming out in two days. I would love to have the improved camera and video shooting and editing capabilities, but for now, I'm pleased with my "new" iPhone.
One more thing -- I just read on MLB.com that the iPhone upgrade enables live video streaming of Major League games starting with tomorrow's White Sox-Cubs match-up. Subscribers to MLB.com's At Bat 2009 application will be able to watch two games live every day. The schedule is on the MLB.com site. The iPhone's built-in GPS will be used to black out games in areas covered by the black out rules.
What are you waiting for? Head to your computer, connect your iPhone and update it NOW!
