Valley Hospital to drop maternity services in April

Valley Hospital Medical Center will no longer provide maternity services starting April 17.

All maternity-related services from Valley Hospital will transition to Centennial Hills, Spring Valley and Summerlin hospitals, according to a statement released by The Valley Health System Wednesday.

Maternity-related services that Valley Hospital will no longer provide include nursing units for labor and delivery, postpartum, nursery and neonatal intensive care. Officials on Wednesday did not disclose why the services were being eliminated.

Valley Hospital will continue to provide women’s health procedures including breast, gynecology, and gynecology oncology surgeries.
