Valley to experience strong winds Monday

Expect a windy Monday as the work week begins. The National Weather has issued a wind advisory for much of Clark County from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday.

Strong winds from the west are expected to gust up to 50 mph, with sustained winds from 20-30 mph.

Forecasters say the greatest threat of widespread strong winds will be in the afternoon.

Travel may be difficult on north-south roads, including I-15, Highway 95 and Highway 93. Blowing dust could reduce visibility near dry lake beds.
