Veterans job placement organization stages event

RecruitMilitary, an Ohio-based, veterans job placement organization, will hold its Veteran Opportunity Expo on Nov. 4 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The free event, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., is expected to draw more than 300 veterans who are seeking employment.

"This special event is intended to help our recently returning troops and other veterans, service members, and their spouses with employment, entrepreneurship and educational opportunities," spokesman Chris Adams said in a news release.

The group has held more than 300 events in more than 50 cities since 2006.

Adams said a team of national, regional and local employers will be on hand to interview veterans at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The event is produced in cooperation with the American Legion, Purple Heart Services, and the Military Spouse Corporate Career Network.
