Victim in LV slaying identified

A 32-year-old man found dead early Thursday at the Motel 6 on Tropicana Avenue just east of the Strip has been identified as George Ezell.

An autopsy revealed that Ezell died from asphyxiation. The death has been ruled a homicide.

Police found the body in a motel room after being called to the scene about 2:30 a.m. Ezell was last seen alive Wednesday night.

Investigators have little to go on but believe the room was thoroughly searched by the killer.

Exactly what the killer or killers were searching for was not known.
