Weekend dust warning issued

Air quality officials are warning Clark County residents of the possibility of airborne dust this weekend.

High winds are expected Saturday, carrying with them blowing particles that could be harmful to sensitive populations, officials with the Clark County Department of Air Quality and Environmental Management said.

Officials suggest residents and construction workers with respiratory diseases stay indoors during dust storms.

Residents are encouraged to call the department's dust complaint hot line at 385-DUST to report excessive amounts of blowing dust.
