Welcome back PBR, Flint
October 30, 2009 - 10:39 am
It’s great to have the Professional Bull Riders back in town for a 16th edition of its World Finals.
We’ll be updating the lvrj.com/rodeo page throughout the next two weeks to help keep you informed about one of the great sports events that visits Las Vegas.
This weekend, however, I’ll be at Las Vegas Motor Speedway reporting on the Las Vegas NHRA Nationals professional drag race. Fellow R-J sports reporter Todd Dewey will be handling the first weekend of the Finals, and I’ll take over next week for the last four performances.
And what I’m looking forward to the most when I get to the Thomas & Mack Center on Thursday for Round 4 is seeing rodeo’s No. 1 entertainer, Flint Rasmussen.
The famed rodeo clown and barrelman is fully recovered from a mild heart attack he suffered in March at his home in Choteau, Mont.
Flint has looked pretty good on TV during PBR Built Ford Tough Series events. I’ll feel better when I see the funny man in person. Watch out Flint ... I might want to hug you.
That’s it for now.
Cowboy up, folks.
These are the best bull riders in the world. But if betting, put your money on the rankest bulls in the world.
