Where to find coverage of California explosion
September 10, 2010 - 11:12 am
The Thursday-night explosion of a 24-inch natural gas pipeline in a San Bruno, Calif., neighborhood has captured lots of attention today. The fire in the community south of San Francisco has been named the Glenview Fire, and the Internet is the best place to head for the latest news and information about it.
I always head to the websites of the local newspapers and television stations whenever a big story breaks. I've added Twitter to the list of sites to monitor, too, especially for anything happening in the tech-savvy area around San Francisco.
To follow the reports from people affected and those nearest the scene, visit Twitter.com and search with the hashtag #sanbruno. There is plenty of color and detail shared by the Twitterverse that nicely supplements the official reports.
