Woman convicted in husband’s death

KINGMAN, Ariz. -- A woman was convicted Wednesday in her husband's shooting death two years ago in Lake Havasu City.

A Mohave County jury in Kingman deliberated about 21/2 hours before finding Candice Wright, 60, guilty of second-degree murder.

Prosecutor Jeremy Huss said Wright shot her husband after drinks and a swim at home over the 2007 Labor Day weekend. Bill Wright, 73, suffered five gunshot wounds.

Candice Wright faces a prison term of 10 to 22 years. Sentencing is scheduled Sept. 2.
