Woman dies in ambulance crash

A 66-year-old Las Vegas woman died Sunday evening in a crash involving an ambulance at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Bridger Avenue.

According to witnesses, a 2005 Pontiac Vibe was eastbound on Bridger when it collided with a 2003 Ford E350 ambulance that was northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard about 5:13 p.m.

Both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time. The ambulance belongs to American Medical Response.

The 66-year-old Las Vegas woman who was not identified was pronounced dead at the scene.

The passengers of both vehicles were taken to University Medical Center for minor to critical injures.

No charges have been filed as the investigation continues.
