Woman found dead in apparent murder-suicide identified

The woman found dead at a southeast valley home Monday afternoon in what police suspect was a murder-suicide involving her boyfriend was identified this morning by the Clark County coroner’s office as 29-year-old Sarah Wayson of Las Vegas.

The coroner’s office hadn't determined a cause and manner of death for Wayson and hadn’t identified her boyfriend as of this morning.

Police said a housekeeper alerted them about 1 p.m. to the bodies in the home at 1292 Sun Village Ave., near Maryland Parkway and Silverado Ranch Boulevard.

Homicide Sgt. William Scott said they were shot to death. He said police found Wayson’s body downstairs on a couch. Her boyfriend’s body was found upstairs.

Scott speculated the shootings occurred either Friday or Saturday.
