Woman found dead in burning home

A woman was found dead in the entryway of a burning home near Desert Inn and Flamingo roads late Sunday, Clark County FIre Department officials said.

The unidentified woman was discovered as crews battled a large-scale fire at 8 Panorama Crest Avenue, fire spokesman Scott Allison said. It is unknown whether the woman died from smoke inhalation or burns.

Allison said the woman was not the homeowner and she may have been visiting. She was the only person home at the time of the blaze.

Cause of the fire is also unknown. Foul play is not thought to have played a role in the fire, Allison said.
