Woman killed in I-15 crash
A woman was killed Wednesday evening when her car drifted off Interstate 15 near Speedway Boulevard.
The woman, who was not identified on Wednesday, was traveling northbound on the highway just south of Speedway when her car drifted off the eastern edge of the roadway and down a gravel embankment, according to Nevada Highway Patrol trooper Kevin Honea.
The car then vaulted over a rock-covered ditch and flipped upside down upon landing, Honea said. The woman, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the car and died at the scene, he said.
The cause of the accident has yet to be determined, Honea said.
