Wranglers Welcome Back Beaudoin and Straub

The Las Vegas Wranglers announced today that forward Matt Beaudoin has been returned by the American Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals. The team also announced that defenseman Brandon Straub has been returned by the Quad City Flames (AHL).

Beaudoin returns from his second AHL call-up this season after playing in two games without a point for Milwaukee. Beaudoin played in one game with San Antonio earlier in the season. The Rock Forest, PQ native scored one goal in three games with Las Vegas prior to his recall. The second-year winger scored 38 goals in 61 games last season with Dayton (ECHL). The 24-year old spent training camp in 2008 with Milwaukee before joining Las Vegas.

Straub returns from Quad City where he started the 2008-09 season by suiting up in three games with six penalty minutes and zero points. The defenseman only played in one game without any points or penalty minutes in his second stint with the Flames this season. The rugged defender was scoreless in five games with the Wranglers this season. He racked up 15 minutes in penalties with Las Vegas before his recall to the AHL.

Straub is in his second professional season after splitting his first season between the Johnstown Chiefs and the American Hockey League's Lake Erie Monsters. The defenseman played the majority of the season with the Chiefs, scoring three times and adding nine assists for 12 points in 55 regular season contests. The 25-year old finished among the team leaders with 131 penalty minutes. Straub was scoreless and posted 11 penalty minutes in nine games with Lake Erie.

The team placed goalie Brent Krahn on bereavement leave and also placed goalie John DeCaro on the three-day injured reserve list.

Las Vegas will play in Phoenix on Saturday at 6:05 PM (PST). Las Vegas will return home to host Fresno on Monday, December 1st and Tuesday, December 2nd at 7:30 PM at the Orleans Arena.
