Wynn, Hissom restart romance

The Steve Wynn-Andrea Hissom romance is back on.

They have met in New York City to work out their issues, and she's reportedly returning to Las Vegas, according to a reliable source.

They had split in April, more than a year and a half after they met at Saint-Tropez on the French Riviera.

The New York Post's gossip column, Page Six, on Sunday reported that Wynn has told friends he regrets splitting with British divorcee Hissom and that he's planning to fly to England to seek a reconciliation.

"Once Andrea was gone, Steve realized he had made a mistake and is now determined to woo her back," the source told Page Six.

A Wynn rep, citing company policy, said, "We don't comment on the Wynns' personal matters."

Wynn and his wife, Elaine, divorced in January for a second time. He recently said the settlement, reportedly more than $700 million, might have been the most expensive in U.S. history.

In the past month, Wynn has been quoted as saying he has been enjoying his bachelor life.

"Projects are finished, my waist is 32 inches, and I'm having a good time and I'm gonna enjoy myself this summer. Work, play a little bit ... life is good," he told KVBC-TV, Channel 3, entertainment reporter Alicia Jacobs.

ONE TOUGH GAL

Burlesque icon Tempest Storm was on the telephone from her hospital bed, talking up a storm hours after hip surgery.

"I'm starting physical therapy (today). I'm tough. You can't get those Georgia peaches down," she said, referring to her home state.

The 82-year-old star of yesterday fell Friday night during introductions at the Burlesque Hall of Fame's 20th anniversary at the Plaza.

"I tripped over something, or maybe it was water on stage and I went sliding. I felt like I was in outer space and floating. My ass hit the cement and head hit the wall," she said.

"They asked me all kinds of questions. I think they thought I had a concussion. They should have asked me what I was going to do for an encore."

She added, "In my 82 years, I've never fallen, and I've never had an accident."

Flowers and get-well wishes poured into her room at Sunrise Hospital on Sunday, she said.

The red-haired temptress turned feisty when she brought up the subject of the upcoming film "Burlesque."

"Cher and Christina Aguilera are making it, and I'm told Aguilera is playing a young girl from Georgia. And she's a redhead," she said.

"They better not be trying to rip off my life, or they're going to be in trouble."

She said the accident occurred while she was walking out to Englebert Humperdinck's song "My Wife the Dancer."

"I used to date him. And the next thing I know that song came out," she said.

She used to date Elvis too, but that ended after a year because Elvis' manager, Col. Tom Parker, didn't think it was good for his star to be dating a stripper.
