Wynn says Harry’s visit not comped

A representative for Steve Wynn's two Las Vegas casinos on Sunday denied that Prince Harry's weekend stay was comped but would neither confirm nor deny a report here that further embarrassing disclosures were likely.

Wynn spokesman Michael Weaver said Wynn Resorts did not waive the prince's charges, as reported in the British media.

"That's factually incorrect," Weaver said.

However, The Daily Mail of London reported Sunday that Wynn picked up the almost $80,000 tab for their visit, which included an $8,100-a-night suite occupied by the prince and his pals, Tom Inskip and Adam Bidwell, a rugby player.

Asked to address the report here that Wynn is upset with his security team after naked photos emerged of Prince Harry's playing "strip billiards," Weaver said, "We're not going to comment on that."

A source told the Review-Journal that the prince's scandal involves "something pretty gigantic" that Wynn is looking into.

Wynn has a history of dealing harshly with issues that jeopardize the gaming and liquor licenses at his properties.

Two years ago this week, Wynn took immediate action when party queen Paris Hilton was arrested for cocaine possession shortly after leaving one of his hotels. She was with her boyfriend, Cy Waits, one of Wynn's top nightclub executives. Wynn fired Waits.

VEGAS ACTS MAKE SEMIS

Two Las Vegas acts have advanced to the semifinal round of NBC's "America's Got Talent."

The Scott Brothers, a pop-and-lock dance duo, perform in the first semifinal round on Tuesday. Twelve performers will be cut to three, with the final round on Sept. 12. Also in the semis is Clint Carvalho and his extreme parrot act.

The Scott Brothers were regulars in the "V - The Ultimate Variety Show" for about a year but were let go about five years ago due to a history of bickering.

Another local dance duo with the same last name, twin brothers Sean and John Scott, are featured tapdancers on "Vegas! The Show" at the Saxe Theater.

Three Las Vegas acts that didn't win but were big crowd favorites are competing in a special contest to see who is invited back for a live guest spot on Sept. 6. They are Nathan Burton, the Jabbawockeez and Prince Poppycock. You can vote at nbc.com/snapple.
