Read before voting

Dear readers,

I'm taking a break from column writing this week. But, in the interim, I have a thought for your consideration:

Nevada Sen. Harry Reid, Rep. Shelley Berkley and Rep. Dina Titus say they are outraged by the AIG bonuses (which we now know were deliberately protected in the "stimulus" bill by Sen. Chris Dodd, D-Conn., and President Obama).

But here's the question all Nevada voters should ask: Why did Harry, Shelley and Dina vote for the "stimulus" bill without reading it? Had they actually read the bill, they might have saved themselves a bit of dubious outrage.

Thanks for reading. To find out more about what's on my mind, see my blog at www.lvrj.com/blogs/sherm
