Jordy Nelson is a Raider. Michael Crabtree no longer is. Nelson reportedly agreed to a two-year, $15 million contract. Crabtree, due a $7 million salary, is now a free agent. Quarterback Derek Carr played a central role in Nelson’s recruitment. Nelson totaled 550 career catches for 7,848 yards and 69 touchdowns during his 10 years in Green Bay.

The 50th anniversary running of the Mint 400 was Saturday . It rained over the course near Primm holding down the dust … … for a little while, at least. When the dust lifted, Bryce Menzies raced to the victory. It was his second Mint 400 overall win. The Las Vegas driver won by 28 seconds — one of the closet finishes in Mint history. Menzies covered three loops of the 118-mile course in 5 hours, 52 minutes.
ESPN’s Former President Resigned Due to Cocaine Extortion Plot John Skipper shockingly resigned in December, citing a long battle with substance addiction. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Skipper revealed that he was embroiled in a cocaine extortion plot. Skipper said that he had been carefully using cocaine for years but when he bought from a new dealer, they threatened him. No one was injured Thursday morning after a taxi caught fire in the central valley.
The fire was reported at 3:50 a.m. on Paradise Road near Desert Inn, according to Metro’s traffic site.
