Kickoff to Jazz Fest

The countdown to the 2011 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage festival has begun. “Thirty days from right now, we will be getting it on,” festival producer Quint Davis said Wednesday. The festival will be held over two weekends — April 29-May 1 and May 5-8 — with 12 stages showcasing jazz, R&B, rock, folk, Latin, gospel, blues, Cajun, Zydeco and alternative.
