CARSON CITY — As he issued a proclamation today calling the Legislature into special session on Monday and Tuesday, Gov. Jim Gibbons said he has an agreement with legislative leaders on a bipartisan plan to handle a $342 million state budget deficit.

For more than 13 years, he has been widely regarded as the man who got away with murder. But this morning, O.J. Simpson was punished for other crimes: last year’s kidnapping and armed robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers at Palace Station.
