Immunize children to protect them from serious diseases [Infographic]

(BPT) - Many vaccine-preventable childhood diseases are still active in the U.S. That’s why it’s important that children, especially infants and young children, receive recommended immunizations on time.

Children younger than 2 years of age are among those at risk for vaccine-preventable diseases, such as measles, chickenpox and pneumococcal disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The CDC recommended vaccine schedule helps protect children against 14 serious infectious diseases by the age of 2. The best way to help protect children from these serious infections is through vaccination.
