The 51s gave up five runs in the sixth inning on their way to a 7-3 Pacific Coast League loss to the Albuquerque Isotopes at Albuquerque, N.M., on Monday night.
Kevin Howard's two-run single in the third inning gave Las Vegas (12-12) a 2-0 lead, and Danny Ardoin homered to make it 3-1 in the top of the sixth, but the 51s couldn't score again.
In the bottom of the sixth, 51s starter Eric Stults retired the first two batters, but went on to allow a Chase Lambin RBI single and left with the bases loaded. Reliever Yhency Brazoban promptly gave up a grand slam to Chris Barnwell to put the Isotopes up, 6-3.
