51s blown out by Grizzlies

The 51s took an early 2-0 lead Monday night, but they had no answer the rest of the way for the Fresno Grizzlies in a 10-2 Pacific Coast League loss in Fresno, Calif.

The Grizzlies (10-14) got all the runs they needed in a three-run fourth inning, but they piled on late with a six-run eighth inning, capped by a three-run, two-out Adam Witter homer.

Las Vegas (6-18) got a Brett Harper RBI double in the first inning and a Buck Coats RBI single in the second, but the 51s didn't score the rest of the way.

Fresno took control in the fourth inning, scoring three runs with two outs. Nestor Rojas had a two-run double, then scored on a Jake Wald double.

Wald added an RBI sacrifice fly in the sixth.

Coats finished 2-for-5 for the 51s, and Kyle Phillips went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a walk. Las Vegas also committed four errors.
