51s drop three games below .500 with loss

Chris Robinson went 4-for-4, including his second home run of the season, to lead the Iowa Cubs to a 5-4 win over the 51s on Wednesday in a Pacific Coast League game at Des Moines, Iowa.

Las Vegas (58-61) scored two runs in the first inning on RBIs by Brian Dopirak and J.P. Arencibia.

Robinson's two-run homer in the fourth gave the Cubs a 3-2 lead. The 51s tied the game at 3 in the sixth on a single by Arencibia, but the Cubs (60-58) answered with two runs in the seventh on a bases-loaded walk by 51s reliever Rommie Lewis (1-2) and an RBI single by Robinson.

Kyle Phillips singled in the eighth to lift Las Vegas to within 5-4, but Blake Parker blanked the 51s in the ninth for his 14th save. The Cubs won three of four in the series.

The 51s are off today before opening an eight-game homestand Friday.
