51s suffer second straight loss as bats stay quiet vs. Rainiers

The 51s mustered only one run and three hits Sunday at Tacoma, Wash., losing to the Rainiers 2-1 in a Pacific Coast League game featuring solid pitching from both teams.
It was the second straight loss for the 51s, who dropped three of the five games in Tacoma.
Rainiers starter D.J. Mitchell (2-2) allowed the three hits and the run, with three walks and one strikeout in 6 1/3 innings. Bobby LaFromboise then threw 2 2/3 perfect innings.
Las Vegas starter Bobby Korecky (3-3) gave up both of Tacoma's runs, allowing four hits with no walks and four strikeouts in five innings. Relievers Juan Abreu, Nate Robertson and Chad Beck allowed one hit and one walk over the final three innings.
Trailing 2-0, the 51s (75-60) got their lone run on a Brian Bocock RBI single in the fifth inning.
