51s suffer sixth loss in a row

Josh Fields hit a go-ahead sacrifice fly to cap a three-run seventh inning that lifted the Colorado Springs SkySox to a
6-5 victory over the 51s in the Pacific Coast League on Monday at Colorado Springs, Colo.

Las Vegas (9-10) suffered its sixth straight loss heading into today's 5:05 p.m. finale of the four-game series.

The 51s snapped a 3-3 tie with two runs in the seventh, but the SkySox moved ahead against Ron Roenicke (1-2) in the bottom half of the inning on three hits, a walk and two sacrifice flies.

Three Colorado Springs pitchers combined for three innings of three-hit relief, led by left-hander Eric Stults (1-1).

David Cooper keyed the 51s' attack with three of their nine hits and a sacrifice fly. Eric Thames and Dewayne Wise had two hits apiece.

Las Vegas starter Luis Perez allowed three runs on three hits in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out eight and walked four.
